The King of the Clay. Rafael Nadal has taken over the French Open in his career aswell as the other major events played on the red dirt.
The left-hander has only ever lost two matches at Roland Garros in his entire career. (As the champions they are, both Federer and Djokovic swooped at their rare opportunity to lift the French Open title)
His dominance on the clay does define his career, but Nadal has also won multiple Grand Slam titles away from France on the grass and hard courts.
The question of if he is best ever really depends on which surface the game is played on. However, he would be in consideration even without the clay as has been his class and competitiveness throughout his career.
